A comment was made in church today regarding this “new” thing called AI. Someone wished to have a fantasy picture produced by “AI”. I didn’t so much have a problem with the production of the image but rather the use of the term AI is being something new and different – almost as if it had an identity or some true intelligence of its own.
It does not.
I recently updated my photo editing program PaintShop Pro to the latest version which claims to have AI powers to make magical things happen to my photos. The same is true for my new version of a video editing software called Vegas Pro – which is quite excellent – which also makes the claim to rely on this thing called “AI”. In both of these instances it is nothing more than fancy effects which are the result of computer speed and advanced programming. All these new effects are nothing more than new fancy algorithms. There is no magic AI in the box.
The software Dragon NaturallySpeaking which I use to compose these emails could also appear as having an intelligence of its own, but it does not. Again it is nothing more than software that translates my spoken word into typed words. It gets better and better as I use it more but it still makes mistakes which I have to re-program it to get it right. It’s remarkable and I love it but there is no artificial intelligence. Nor do they claim AI, because Dragon NaturallySpeaking was produced before AI became the new marketing slogan.
I am very concerned with language and its perverting nature to twist the mind into thinking differently about what is essentially the same. AI is developing an identity as it is more and more referred to as having a true intelligence (a being) of its own. It has no true intelligence. It is nothing more than supercomputing and super programming.
AI is the talk of the town. Dangerous talk.
Here is an interesting piece entitled “What Is AI Really? Digital Illusions, False Promises, and Mass Reeducation”- By Brandon Smith.
Smith makes very clear what I have said often times, that this new AI is nothing more than advancements in computer speed and algorithms. There is no such thing as AI. It is nothing more than supercomputing. There is no leap from the supercomputer to this new thing they are marketing as “AI”. The term is nothing more than marketing hype and salesmanship. It is there to manipulate your mind to believe something which is not true.
The continuing advancement in computing power has made it virtually impossible for the chess master to defeat the computer. This does not mean the computer is intelligent in any way. It is nothing more than supercomputing and the ability to crunch even more and more data more rapidly. AI does the same thing that computers have been doing from the very beginning – it is still just ones and zeros. Speed does not equal intelligence, it is just speed.
In it he states: “AI as it stands today is nothing more than a mindless algorithm, and thus, it is not AI. But, if every aspect of our world is engineered around digital infrastructures and the populace is taught to put blind faith in the “infallibility” of algorithms then eventually become the robot gods the globalists so desperately desire. That is to say, AI dominance is only possible if everyone BELIEVES that AI is legitimate.”
Notice the reference above to belief and faith. Faith is the metaphysical glue that holds the entire world together.
“They’ve been waiting for a piece of software to come to life and start giving them insights into the mechanics of the universe and they’re starting to realize that’s never going to happen. Instead, the elitists are shifting their focus increasingly into the melding of the human world and the digital world. They want to fabricate the necessity of AI because human dependency on the technology serves the purposes of centralization.”
And regarding the melding of the human world and the digital world, he writes; “Many Zennials today are incapable of cooking for themselves because they can get takeout to their door anytime they want. They barely talk on the phone or create physical communities anymore because texting and social media have become the intermediaries in human interaction.”
The brave New World is a sad reality as we are trading our humanity for digital convenience. We are watching our young people become helpless and hopeless.
“My great fear – The future that I see coming down the road, is one in which human beings no longer bother to think. AI might be seen as the ultimate accumulation of human knowledge; a massive library or digital brain that does all the searching and thinking for you. Why learn anything when AI “knows everything.” Except, this is a lie..”
I am reminded of the great scene in “Rollerball” in which Jonathan E. wishes to find information at the library of the future concerning the corporate wars. And his friend says “what’cha need books for?” Watch it here. This is the AI future. Notice the innocent look on the “librarian’s” face. – And then the All Knowing super computer Zero. “poor old 13th century”… “he’s become so….ambiguous now,… as if he knows nothing at all”
“AI doesn’t know everything; (in fact AI knows NOTHING AT ALL because it does not know that it knows nothing) it only knows what its programmers want it to know. It only gives you the information its programmers want you to have. The globalists understand this…”
If everyone in the world starts turning to AI for answers to all their questions, then everyone in the world will be given the same exact answers and will come to the same exact conclusions. All AI has to do is actively censor any information that contradicts the official narrative. – Censorship is nothing more than an algorithm that looks for data and spews out data – it is not AI.
Then you must simply go and read the article to see the absurd pictures that AI generates – female popes and black Nazis. As a side, one should be appalled at all the modern cop shows and crime dramas which depict primarily female investigators, detectives, and even firefighters; all attractive, one white, one black, and one Asian surrounded by, and leading, the attractive men: one white, one black, one Asian, and the typical old codger conservative man who is stuck in his old ways. It’s as if these crime drama shows and all drama shows are created by these AI algorithms.
globalists want the proliferation of AI because they know that people are lazy and will use the system as a stand-in for individual research. If this happens on a large scale then AI could be used to rewrite every aspect of history, corrupt the very roots of science and mathematics and turn the population into a drooling hive mind; a buzzing froth of braindead drones consuming every proclamation of the algorithm as if it is sacrosanct.
“AI does not need to become sentient or wield an army of killer robots to do great harm to humanity. All it has to do is be convenient enough that we no longer care to think for ourselves. Like the “Great and Powerful” OZ hiding behind a digital curtain, you assume you’re gaining knowledge from a wizard when you’re really being manipulated by globalist snake oil salesmen.”
